Domestic Violence Awareness Training

Domestic and family violence affects women, men, children and families from all sections of our society. Statistics show an average of one woman dies each week in Australia as a result of domestic violence and it has broad and significant health consequences. Women experiencing abuse identify nurses, midwives and other health professionals as potential sources of support.

These sessions aim to give you:
Practical advice and tips on what you and your employer can do to address issues relating to domestic and family violence in your workplace. How to recognise the signs of domestic violence and the foundations to assess what you can do to prevent and respond.

This event is part of International Year of the Nurse and Midwife and delivered by DV Connect.
