The Business Planning Framework is the industrially mandated method in Queensland Health to help determine appropriate nursing and midwifery staff and skill mix levels to meet service requirements and evaluate the performance of nursing and midwifery services. It is imperative for nurses and midwives to understand this process and be active participants in determining the safe workloads in their workplaces.

This course takes us through the detail of working up a Service Profile, the seven steps to calculating Nursing/Midwifery Hours per patient day and resource allocation.
