Count the Babies Campaign Update

Count the Babies Campaign Update
Join us for a free online information session to hear all about the QNMU’s Count the Babies Campaign and how you can be involved.

As you know, a midwife’s workload increases dramatically when a baby is born. But currently, a mother and her baby are considered one person, both in terms of midwifery allocation and health funding.

Right now, more than 50% of Queensland’s midwives believe there is seldom or never enough midwives to provide quality care.

As part of our campaign, the QNMU is campaigning at a State and Federal level to have the workload of babies adequately addressed and funded.

In this session, we’ll discuss:
• What we’re asking for
• How you can get involved
• Workload forms and documenting for coding
• Safe Workloads in Midwifery (SWiM) Standards.

We hope to see you online.
