Creating a safe and healthy workplace
This webinar will answer all your questions about the role of a Health and Safety Representative. 

In this course, we'll cover the process of risk management and the hierarchy of control in managing hazards. 

You'll leave with a range of knowledge about current health and safety issues facing nurses and midwives.

By the end of this course participants will: 
• Have a sound understanding of the role of a Health and Safety Representative according to the Queensland Work Health and Safety Act 2011
• Understand the concept of "reasonably practicable"
• Understand Provisional Improvement Notices (PINS) 
• Understand the right to cease unsafe work 
• Be able to specify the obligations of an employer to Health and Safety Representatives 
• Know where to locate relevant work health and safety resources available to them
• Understand the risk assessment process 
• Understand current workplace health and safety issues facing nurses and midwives.

This webinar will be delivered by Chris Doyle, QNMU Education Officer.
