Health and Safety Representative Meeting

Health and Safety Representative Meeting
As a QNMU member who is also a Health and Safety Representative (HSR) in your workplace, you’re invited to our next HSR Reference Group meeting, where we will give an update on the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 – 5-year review.

During this meeting we'll be delivering an important update on the progress of the work health and safety review, as well as discussing the new Managing the risk of psychosocial hazards at work Code of Practice 2022. The new code and regulations will commence on 1 April 2023, and members need to be aware of the ramifications, including employers' obligations for managing fatigue, bullying, occupational violence and more.

What’s the purpose of the Reference Group?
The HSR Reference Group is an opportunity for all HSR QNMU members to come together and discuss the issues that matter most to you in your role as a HSR. It’s also an opportunity for you to guide the work of the QNMU in how we advocate for important health and safety matters.

Whether its highlighting specific legislative or procedural barriers you face as a HSR, or identifying additional resources and training you might need to help you perform your role better, this reference group is all about helping us help you as a HSR.

We hope you can come along to this important meeting!
