Say thanks to our Frontline Heroes
Every year on International Day of the Midwife on 5 May and International Day of the Nurse on the 12 May, we pause to reflect on the remarkable work nurses and midwives do.
But this year, against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, those commemorative days have taken on special significance, throwing into sharp relief the critical role nurses and midwives have caring for our communities.
Over the past few months Queensland nurses and midwives have been on the frontline of the COVID-19 response in our hospitals, aged care facilities, community services and general practices, providing quality professional care under extraordinary conditions.
So this year in recognition of their fantastic work in such unprecedented times, we’re inviting the community to thank our members by sending them messages of appreciation and support.
