Celebrating YOU during International Year of the Nurse and Midwife

Have you got a great nursing or midwifery story to tell? Do you know a friend or colleague who does?

As part of our International Year of the Nurse and Midwife celebrations in 2020 we are looking for inspirational, aspirational, heart-warming or funny stories to be featured in a special commemorative book.

What better way to celebrate 200 years of making a difference to our patients, residents, and communities than showcasing our professions through the stories of nurses and midwives?

It might be an interesting story about how or why you became a nurse or midwife, or a ripper yarn about a particularly exhilarating or amazing experience that changed your life (or the life of a patient or resident).

Perhaps you just want to say why being a nurse or midwife is so important to you or the sacrifices you have made to be a nurse or midwife.

What you need to do

In 200 words or less give us a summary of your story. If your yarn is identified for potential inclusion, we’ll contact you and organise a time to have a chat and take your photo for the publication!

Send your story to comms@qnmu.org.au

Good luck!
