Health workers provided Queensland border exemption
Last updated: 24 September 2020
Queensland's health workers - including nurses and midwives - who need to travel across the Queensland and New South Wales border for work purposes will be exempt from current border restrictions, thanks to memorandums published by Queensland's Chief Health Officer. The exemptions apply for health staff working in public health facilities and licensed private health facilities.
This is welcome news for the many QNMU members who have been experiencing delays and difficulties travelling to and from work as a result of where they live and work.
