To ensure we continue to provide you with the best possible support and representation, QNMU Council recently determined to increase membership fees by 3% (rounded down to the nearest 50c) for the 2023/2024 financial year.

As always, we aim to minimise any fee increase as much as possible. The increase takes into account the rising costs of operations and our capacity to deliver the services you need and expect, including expert industrial, professional and legal representation, as well as other benefits such as education and training, member publications, our expanded CPD resources, and hotline support.

In the past year alone, the QNMU has secured wage increases for nurses and midwives across the board – including the highest page rise from any public sector employer in the country, a 15% increase in aged care award rates, and a 14.5% increase over three years from a major private hospital employer. With over 70,000 members, you’re part of the strongest and most experienced professional organisation representing Queensland’s nurses and midwives.
