The Bundaberg Base Hospital Branch has undergone a significant resurgence over the past 18 months, emerging as a stronger, more unified, and more effective advocate for its members.
Through regular branch meetings, sustained engagement with members across the hospital, and a growing network of delegates working collaboratively across BBHB, the branch has rebuilt its collective voice and expanded its reach.
A key focus has been informing members about their rights, their entitlements, and the full range of support available through QNMU membership – from free education sessions and industrial relations leave to legal support and member services.
The branch has also strengthened its visibility and presence within the workplace, reinforcing its commitment to standing alongside members through disputes, enterprise agreement negotiations, and employment rights enquiries.
United, visible, and growing, the Bundaberg Base Hospital Branch is a testament to what dedicated advocacy from the ground up can achieve.
“We have developed greater unity and strengthened our collective voice. Every step forward has been achieved together – through showing up, staying engaged, and standing united for our members.”
