Some of our most popular courses are profiled below.

Speaking up and the role of nurses and midwives
1.5 CPD hours

This module discusses speaking up as part of daily practice. Whilst speaking up, open disclosure and whistle blowing share some elements, they are all different. This module is about saying something BEFORE something goes wrong. We discuss why speaking up is critical to patient safety, individual responsibilities as a health practitioner, and the potential barriers to speaking up. We then go on to explore some strategies that may be used to assist in speaking up.

Malignant wounds - Nursing management
2 CPD hours

The symptoms of malignant wounds can cause significant physical and psychological distress to patients with advanced cancer. This module is based on current recommendations for care and discusses symptomatic wound management using person-centred, palliative care approaches to relieve the symptoms of these wounds and optimise quality of life.

Communicating for safety: Effective clinical handover
