In this course, we will cover:

·         an overview of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s Professional Practice Framework

·         AHPRA processes and outcomes

·         duty of care and negligence

·         ratios and your professional responsibilities

·         delegation of care and accountability

·         the importance of workload management

·         lessons from coronial and nursing/midwifery tribunal cases

·         developing strategies to resolve conflict between professional standards and employer directives.

This course is open to all QNMU members and provides 6 CPD hours.

As a specialist education session delivered by the peak professional and industrial body for nurses and midwives in Queensland, this course meets the requirements for Industrial Relations Education Leave (IREL).
