EB11 QH mental health environmental allowance

What is the Mental Health Environmental Allowance? Prior to the implementation of EB11, the mental health environmental allowance entitlement was found in Clause 13.9 of the Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award – State 2015 (the Award). HR Policy C30: Environmental allowance – Mental health high security and medium secure units further clarified the eligibility for those employees working in specific high security and/or medium security mental health units. As part of negotiations for NMEB11 Queensland Health and the Queensland Nurses and Midwives’ Union recognised the previous application of this entitlement did not accurately reflect the intent of the allowance having regard to changes to legislation that has occurred over the years, and expansion of Queensland Health’s mental health facilities.
