Immunisation services in pharmacies

Registered Nurses and Midwives, in consultation with pharmacists and medical practitioners, are the most appropriate health professionals to administer medicines to people who are unable to do so unaided. The QNMU supports a model of pharmacy-based immunisation services in Australia. The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) has developed guidelines to provide direction for best practice in this environment.
