Lifelong work for social justice forum
The QNMU is proud to present a very special forum for members interested in creating a more compassionate, equitable and sustainable world.

Hosted by our special interest groups;
  • Retired Nurses and Midwives
  • Health and the Environment
  • Nurses and Midwives for Refugees and Asylum Seekers

The forum will include presentations on environmental and refugee issues and transitioning into retirement, plus a hands-on activity of planting a flower garden.
Join us for an enlightening few hours. Lunch will be provided.

Elliot tries to continue that legacy through his own refugee advocacy today. When the blockade began at the Kangaroo Point hotel earlier this year, Elliot helped reform the Unions for Refugees group, and is currently the Co-convenor.
