Positive Practice Environment Champion Award

This award recognises an Assistant-in-Nursing (however titled), Enrolled Nurse, Registered Nurse or Midwife who champions a positive practice environment as demonstrated through one or more of the six Positive Practice Environment Standards. 

Eligibility criteria

Entrants or nominees must demonstrate the following eligibility criteria in 750 words or less:

• Address at least one of the six Positive Practice Environment Standards, clearly specifying the Positive Practice Environment Standard you are addressing and providing evidence of how the Positive Practice Environment Standard/s are demonstrated and embedded by you in your workplace (max. 500 words).
• Describe how you have demonstrated QNMU professional activism in your workplace (max. 250 words).

Requisites 

• Entrants or nominees must be a current financial QNMU member - QNMU membership must have been held for at least 12 months prior to application. 
• Entrants or nominees must not be a QNMU official, staff member or councillor, or a first-degree relative of any of these positions (ie: spouse, child or parent).
• If nominated by a peer/colleague, nominees must complete an entry for their nominated Award. 
• Entries must demonstrate all the eligibility criteria for their Award category.
• Entrants or nominees must commit to attending the QNMU Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards ceremony (funded by the QNMU) should they be selected as a finalist. 
• Entrants or nominees must commit to participating in any marketing or communications for the QNMU Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards if they are selected as a finalist or are the successful recipient of an Award.  
• Entrants or nominees must commit to providing written feedback to QNMU Council within three (3) months of receiving the award on how the prize money has been of benefit if they are the successful recipient of an Award.
